8-9 May 2014: 6th European Road Safety Day in Athens

The European Commission, in cooperation with the Greek EU Presidency hosted the European Road Safety Day in Athens on 8-9 May 2014. This conference, centred around the headline theme ‘Safe and smart infrastructure’, brought together road safety experts, stakeholders and decision-makers and gave them the opportunity to share their knowledge and discuss ways to continue improving European road safety.

The conference programme included information stands where leading European road safety organizations presented their work. Make Roads Safe Hellas participated with a MRSH/SENSOR project /EuroRAP stand, where a great opportunity was given to present mrsh past activites as well as detailed information about the SENSOR project to very important persons as f.e Mr Siim Kalas, Vice-President of the EC, Mr. Dionisis Makris, General Director of Ministry of Infrastructure, Transport and Network, Mr. Kallistratos Dionelis, General Secretary of ASECAP.

Also, Dr. Evangelos Bellos from MRSH, had the chance to have a short talk with Mr. Michalis Papadopoulos, Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, Transportation and Networks about \the SENSOR project.
